Sinopse

Amid Earth's ceaseless conflicts, the city of Olympus stands as a beacon of utopia. This serene sanctuary thrives mainly due to its Bioroid inhabitants—genetically modified humans incapable of reproduction or intense emotions. Deunan Knute, a seasoned warrior, has spent her life battling in desolate lands. When Hitomi, an envoy from Olympus, recruits her for their security team, Deunan doubts such a tranquil place exists. Her skepticism is validated as she uncovers a sinister scheme poised to disrupt the city's harmony—one that endangers the very essence of Bioroids.

Background

Geneon Entertainment introduced Appleseed to the North American DVD market on May 10, 2005. Sentai Filmworks later released the film on Blu-ray on May 18, 2010, followed by a Blu-ray/DVD combo on September 8, 2015, and a remastered Blu-ray edition on October 21, 2025.
