Synopsis

Eishin Kuga, nicknamed Mad Dog for his bloodlust, beats up his underlings while Yashiro watches and waits for his longtime friend to subdue him. Kanji Kageyama, an underground doctor, finally meets the young hothead whom Yashiro wants to recruit for his yakuza group. However, due to Kuga's aversion toward Yashiro, Kageyama is left with the task of temporarily housing him. But as Kageyama continues to insist that he has no interest in men, Kuga's shirtless presence, riotous attitude, and ceaseless teasing might just change his mind.

Background

Don't Stay Gold is an adaptation of the short story of the same name by Kou Yoneda. The OVA was included with the limited edition of volume 7 of the Twittering Birds Never Fly manga in Japan. It was licensed in English by Sentai Filmworks and premiered on HIDIVE on September 10, 2021.
