Synopsis
Since the Ming Dynasty's inception, Emperor Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang established the Jinyiwei, a powerful force with the South and North Guards overseeing officials. After a century, the guards struggle to cooperate as foreign invaders and rampant bandits plague the Central Plain. Yuan Xiaotang, son of North Guard commander Yuan Xiaozhi, seeks to prove himself amidst the chaos in the imperial city.
