Synopsis
In turbulent times, evil spirits and corrupt officials run rampant, while the underworld invades, poisoning the human world. Xu Ying, a snake catcher, cannot bear to see the gods working for the underworld oppress the common people. He rebels, committing the crime of killing gods and court officials who turn a blind eye. Hunted by the forces of both worlds, Xu Ying begins a life on the run.
