Synopsis

Boruto Uzumaki, the energetic son of Seventh Hokage Naruto, is a talented ninja who shares his father's boldness and enthusiasm. However, Naruto's frequent absences due to his Hokage duties dampen Boruto's spirits. When Naruto decides to observe the upcoming Chunin exams, Boruto seeks to prove his worth by enlisting the help of Naruto's childhood friend and rival, Sasuke Uchiha. The Chunin exams proceed smoothly until the Konohagakure is suddenly attacked by a new enemy threatening the village's long-standing peace. Facing real danger, Naruto and his allies must unite to protect their beloved home and defeat the evil forces. Through this battle, Boruto comes to understand his father's struggles and the true meaning of being a ninja.

Background

Boruto: Naruto the Movie is the highest-grossing feature film in the entire Naruto franchise and ranked 11th among Japan's Top Grossing Domestic Movies of 2015. This is the first time original creator Masashi Kishimoto has written the entire screenplay for a Naruto movie.
