Synopsis
Yukino Miyazawa, the female class representative and the most admired freshman at her high school, excels in both studies and sports while maintaining an elegant and sociable demeanor. Though she has always been the object of admiration, her true nature is one of vanity, as she works tirelessly to uphold her flawless image, academic prowess, and athletic abilities. Her greatest desire is to be the center of attention and praise, which is why she cannot tolerate Souichirou Arima, the male class representative and the only person more perfect than herself. From the first day of high school, she has tried in vain to outshine her new rival. Finally, during the midterm exams, Yukino achieves the top score, surpassing Souichirou. To her astonishment, he congratulates her, causing her to reflect on her dishonest way of life. When Souichirou confesses his feelings for her, she rejects him and boasts about it at home, though with a hint of regret. The very next day, however, Souichirou visits her house to deliver a CD and witnesses her unguarded behavior. Now aware of the truth, he blackmails her into fulfilling his student council responsibilities. Forced to spend time with him, Yukino discovers that she is not the only one concealing secrets.
