Synopsis
In Hiroshima during the summer of 1945, a young girl named Nobuko rescues a starving kitten from crows. Despite her parents' initial reluctance, Nobuko convinces them to let her keep the kitten, which they name Kuro. Kuro brings joy and laughter to the family, but as World War II intensifies, caring for Kuro becomes increasingly difficult. One August morning, Kuro begins to act strangely.
