Synopsis

In the Ainu language, "orushipe" means "storytelling" and "suopu" means "this place." The Foundation for Research and Promotion of Ainu Culture (FRPAC), along with various directors from Studio Rocca, created annual short films starting in 2012. These films tell stories from within the Ainu land and culture, showcased at museums, schools, and film festivals, including The New Chitose Airport International Animation Festival, celebrating Hokkaido's 150th anniversary. The official YouTube channel offers various audio and subtitle combinations for the short films, roughly a year after their debut, and the yearly films are also released on DVD.
