Synopsis
Deceived into assassinating his prospective father-in-law, honorable samurai Raizou Kurima is consumed by guilt. To reclaim his honor, Raizou vows vengeance on the lord who gave him false orders. Aided by Yuuen Usui, a self-proclaimed merchant who is actually a Revenger—an assassin seeking justice for the wronged—Raizou embarks on his pursuit. As he becomes more involved with the Revengers, Raizou uncovers a complex web between the corrupt Japanese political elite, unscrupulous Europeans, and the Revengers. The more entangled he becomes, the more Raizou realizes that justice is as elusive as the honor he sought to redeem.
