Synopsis
A legendary masterpiece of love comics, SEKISHOKU Elegy moved baby-boomers to tears with its portrayal of the heartbreaking sorrow of cohabitation, symbolizing young Japanese couples in the 1970s. The renowned painter Seiichi Hayashi, known for his work in Koume Chan candies and Sendai's famous confectionery Hagi No Tsuki, draws the animation as the original writer and also directs it. Hayashi collaborates with folk singer Morio Agata for the first time in over three decades. Agata had a massive hit with a song inspired by the comic. New renditions breathe new life into SEKISHOKU Elegy as a work of Ganime.
