Synopsis
Throughout history, an elite group of shrine maidens known as "Toji" have protected the world from "Aratama," malevolent beings aiming to destroy humanity. In modern times, these warriors are part of a special police squad tasked with eliminating Aratama. The government has established five elite schools nationwide to train young girls in sword fighting, preparing them to join the Toji and defend the world. Kanami Etou, a student at one of these schools, is selected to represent Minoseki Academy in a sword fighting tournament. There, she encounters the enigmatic Hiyori Juujou. Although Kanami and Hiyori excel in the tournament, their battle takes an unexpected turn, disrupting the world of the Toji. Suspecting betrayal within their ranks, the two are forced to flee, confronting former allies along the way.
