Synopsis
Inspired by a picture book about the 2004 earthquake in Chuuetsu, Niigata prefecture, Mari's three puppies are born just as the earthquake strikes Yamakoshimura. Their home is destroyed, and their elderly owner is trapped under the rubble. Mari breaks free from her chain and encourages the old man until help arrives. Although the old man is rescued, he cannot keep the dogs, leaving them in the abandoned village. The question remains: can Mari and her puppies survive in these conditions?
