Synopsis

Three girls are chosen by the great Shinju-sama to become heroes and combat the destructive beings known as Vertexes, which threaten the world's harmony and safety. Sumi Washio, Sonoko Nogi, and Gin Minowa spend their time idly, unsure of when they will be called to duty. However, when a Vertex suddenly appears, they realize they lack the teamwork and combat skills to fight effectively as magical girls. Though they manage to defeat their enemy through sheer determination, the three decide to improve their teamwork and combat capabilities in the aftermath. As more enemies emerge, requiring even greater power to overcome, the girls may find themselves irreversibly changed by the use of their magic. They must consider the price of victory and whether it is worth paying to ensure humanity's survival.

Background

The first six episodes of the second season of the TV anime "Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru" will adapt "Washio Sumi wa Yuusha de Aru." Prior to the broadcast, the episodes are being screened theatrically as three movies.
