Sinopsis
Nagomi Wahira has always admired the cute girls working at maid cafes and moves to Akihabara to pursue her dream of becoming one at the Ton Tokoton maid cafe. On her first day, Nagomi's expectations are shattered when she and her fellow recruit, Ranko Mannen, are sent on an "errand" to a rival maid cafe. There, Nagomi witnesses Ranko's calm and capable demeanor as she battles through a horde of armed maids. Realizing the harsh reality of maid cafes, Nagomi struggles to find the enjoyment she once saw in their lives. As she navigates this new world, Nagomi searches for the true meaning behind the lives of maids.

The word "Meido" (冥途) in the title is a play on words, where the kanji means "underworld," and is pronounced the same as "maid" in Japanese pronunciation.
