Sinopsis
In the realm of Ars, humans are locked in a prolonged struggle against colossal beasts that devastate the land and consume its resources. Paladins, warriors who harness the destructive might of Clerics—individuals blessed with uncontrollable magical abilities—are tasked with defending against these creatures. Jiiro, a former Paladin grieving the loss of his battle partner, encounters Kuumi, a young woman who has just awakened her magical powers. After forming a pact to save the city from a massive beast attack, Jiiro discovers that Kuumi has escaped a research facility and is being pursued by Mezami's underlings. Reluctantly agreeing to aid Kuumi, Jiiro embarks on a journey with her and Myaa, a young girl adorned with a cat headdress. As they traverse the Arsian lands, the trio uncovers a sinister plot orchestrated by high-ranking officials, revealing that humans pose a greater threat than the monsters they face.
