Sinopsis
In 2015 A.D., Dr. Yamanoue, the Secretary of the Science Ministry, assembles an Android robot on an artificial island, intending to live with him as his own son. However, the robot has a defect in his electric brain, and Dr. Yamanoue believes Dr. Kawashimo's help is essential to fix it. Despite their friendship, they are rivals in both personal life and scientific study. Dr. Yamanoue is jingoistic and sees the robot as a strategic arm, while Dr. Kawashimo is a pacifist who loves robots. Dr. Kawashimo rushes to the island with his young daughter Miri to help. Arriving there, he sets the electric brain into Jet Mars, a robot boy. Mars is curious about the world and doesn't know what is good or bad. The next day, he lifts Dr. Kawashimo and Miri onto a building. When he sees tears in Miri's eyes, he feels a mysterious sensation. He asks Dr. Yamanoue about it and is told that it is a tear a weak girl sheds, but a strong man never does. One day, the electric brain of Fainton, another robot, malfunctions, causing chaos on the island. Mars and Miri work together to rescue Dr. Yamanoue and Dr. Kawashimo. Mars learns how to cry and how to perform a kind deed.
