Sinopsis
On the planet Prester, travel by air reigns supreme, powered by Claudia Fluid—a liquefied version of the planet’s native crystals. The Guild, a shadowy organization, holds unchallenged control over the skies, monopolizing the engines that run on this fluid. As ecological disasters push the warring nations of Anatoray and Disith to the brink, the Guild also mediates their conflicts. Amid this turmoil, Sky Couriers navigate the open skies in small, two-person vanships. Last Exile chronicles the journey of two young dreamers aiming to outdo their parents: Claus Valca, the son of a renowned vanship pilot, and Lavie Head, his closest friend and navigator. Their work as couriers often takes them through the treacherous Grand Stream, a powerful air current dividing the hostile nations—a route that even large airships rarely survive. But when they accept a high-stakes mission to deliver a mysterious orphan girl, Alvis Hamilton, to the battleship Silvana, they find themselves entangled in a far larger struggle against the Guild’s overwhelming power.
