Sinopsis
Kaoru Nishimi, an introverted classical pianist and top student, has just moved to Kyushu for his first year of high school. Having moved frequently since childhood, he expects another lonely year. However, his life changes when he meets the notorious delinquent Sentarou Kawabuchi, who introduces him to jazz music. Kaoru begins playing the piano at after-school jazz sessions in Ritsuko Mukae's family-owned record shop basement. As he discovers the joy of using his musical talents, Kaoru's summer becomes memorable. Sakamichi no Apollon is a heartwarming tale of friendship, music, and love among three unique individuals united by their appreciation for jazz.
