Sinopsis
Tokyo is about to host the Shaman Fight, a tournament occurring once every five centuries where shamans—individuals capable of commanding spirits—engage in battle. The winner earns the title of Shaman King, gaining the exclusive ability to communicate with and control the Great Spirit, granting them the power to reshape the world according to their will. One evening, while walking, Manta Oyamada encounters his classmate, the easygoing You Asakura, who invites him to join a stargazing outing with some friends. To Manta's shock, these friends are ghosts from a nearby cemetery. Yet, Manta's rare sixth sense, which allows him to see spirits, endears him to You. When You learns that Manta has been attacked by a local gang, he resolves to seek revenge with the aid of Amidamaru, a samurai ghost whose tomb was desecrated by the gang's leader. Before long, Manta learns more about the spirit world, including the Shaman Fight, a competition in which his new friend You intends to emerge victorious.
