Sinopsis
Kenichi Shirahama, a high school student, spends his days either getting beaten up in the karate club or engrossed in self-help books. One day, he accidentally scares a new student, Miu Furinji, who throws him to the ground. After apologizing, she introduces herself and asks Kenichi to be her friend. Later, Kenichi is challenged by a club member to a fight, with the loser having to quit the club. After witnessing Miu effortlessly fend off three thugs, Kenichi asks her for fighting tips. She directs him to her grandfather's dojo, Ryouzanpaku, where skilled but eccentric martial arts masters gather. Miu warns Kenichi that he will become stronger, but only if he survives. With these ominous words in mind and the emergence of a criminal martial arts gang called Ragnarok threatening those around him, Kenichi begins his journey to become a world-class fighter and a protector of the weak.
