Sinopsis
Charlotte lives on a farm in Canada. On her 12th birthday, her father reveals that her mother, whom she believed to be dead, is actually alive and will soon join them. Charlotte is upset at first but adjusts to the idea. However, her father soon dies, leaving her to face many challenges. She discovers her father was from a noble family and her grandfather wants her to return to the family. She doesn't know her mother, and a landowner tries to steal her father's farm. Poor Charlotte must navigate these difficulties.
