Synopsis
Aki Miyagawa has been passionate about the sound of traditional Japanese drums since her childhood. Now a professional drummer in Tokyo, she struggles to maintain her passion while working a second job. A call from her former teacher, Michio Yoshioka, offers her a chance to return to her hometown and reflect on her journey, reigniting her passion for drumming.

Aki no Kanade was one of the four films of Anime Mirai 2015, a project supported by the Japanese government's Agency of Cultural Affairs to train animators.
