Synopsis
In 2046, Noboru Terao and Mikako Nagamine are inseparable friends nearing the end of junior high. When an alien invasion threatens humanity, Mikako is chosen for a UN military space mission to counter the extraterrestrial threat. Forced apart, the two maintain their bond by exchanging cell phone emails. However, as Mikako’s expedition ventures deeper into space, the delay between sending and receiving messages grows longer. Hoshi no Koe follows their struggle to sustain their connection amid the expanding void between them.
