Synopsis

In April 2022, the legal adult age in Japan will be lowered from 20 to 18. Some teenagers may face financial difficulties as they can now enter contracts legally. If they need assistance, they can call 188, the Consumer Hotline. This hotline, launched on July 1, 2015, by the Department of Consumer Affairs, is operated by local governments.
