Tsuru no Sugomori

This heartfelt story revolves around teamwork among animals, as two chickens, out of place on an island inhabited by cranes, strive to make it their home. When an eagle attacks, their adoptive crane parents are killed, but the chickens rally for a counterattack. Ultimately, peace is restored to the island. Based on a story by Teru Takakura, this anime was created over three years by around 80 members of the Japan Film Broadcasting Industry Association, led by the pseudonymous Shibayama.
