Sinossi
Library Task Force (LTF) member Mikihisa Komaki has been friends with Marie Nakazawa, a girl from his neighborhood, since she was little. Despite being around a decade older, Komaki supports Marie through thick and thin, especially when she develops a hearing impairment during her middle school days. However, one morning, Komaki is arrested by the Media Betterment Committee for invading the privacy of a minor due to the content of one of his recommended novels. Knowing the torture that awaits their friend at the "inquiry," the LTF members look for ways to save Komaki before it's too late.

Toshokan Sensou: Koi no Shougai is an unaired episode that was bundled with the third DVD volume of Toshokan Sensou. The special was also included in the Blu-ray box of the series, which was released on June 8, 2012.
