Sinopse

Asta e Yuno foram abandonados na mesma igreja no mesmo dia. Criados juntos como crianças, eles vieram a saber do "Rei dos Feiticeiros"—um título dado ao feiticeiro mais forte do reino—e prometeram que competiriam um contra o outro pela posição do próximo Rei dos Feiticeiros. No entanto, à medida que cresciam, a diferença marcante entre eles se tornou evidente. Enquanto Yuno é capaz de manipular a magia com poder e controle surpreendentes, Asta não consegue usar magia de forma alguma e tenta desesperadamente despertar seus poderes treinando fisicamente. Quando eles atingem a idade de 15 anos, Yuno recebe um Grimoire espectacular com um trevo de quatro folhas, enquanto Asta não recebe nada.
