Sinopse
Yui é uma garota do ensino médio comum que vive em um futuro onde todos os computadores são suportados por uma única rede global chamada COMNET. Yui é uma garota iletrada em computação que, após um acidente em um laboratório de informática, é abordada por IR, um programa de computador corretor semelhante a um guaxinim, que lhe diz que ela deve salvar a COMNET. Ela deve impedir o programa de IA (Inteligência Artificial) renegado conhecido como Grosser e seus programas subordinados de dominar o mundo. Grosser foi originalmente projetado para ser o gerente de toda a COMNET. Inicialmente, ela é muito relutante em desempenhar o papel de heroína devido à sua completa falta de conhecimento e habilidade com computadores. Para salvar a COMNET, ela deve encontrar e ganhar a confiança dos outros sete programas corretores desregrados. Eles também devem encontrar o criador da COMNET, o Professor Inukai, para ajudar a parar o Grosser de vez.
