Sinopse

Following the events of the Adventure series, a new Digimon Egg appears on the internet, infiltrating computer systems across Japan. The egg hatches into a Virus-type Digimon, causing chaos by consuming data. Taichi and Koushiro decide to stop it, sending Agumon and Tentomon into the digital world. As the Virus-type Digimon evolves and gains control over systems like the American military, Taichi and Koushiro enlist the help of Yamato and Takeru to prevent the digital threat from becoming a real-world danger.

Background

Digimon Adventure: Bokura no War Game was released in theaters as part of Toei's Spring 2000 Anime fair, alongside the One Piece movie. In the US, three Digimon films were edited into a single movie titled Digimon: The Movie, with significant changes to the plot and soundtrack. The original films were divided into three parts in this edit, with over 40 minutes of content removed. The movie premiered nationwide on October 6, 2000.
