Sinopse
Situated 2,000 km south of the Samoa islands, Austral Island's existence has been erased from official records. Tagami Yuu embarks on a journey to uncover the reason behind this. Accompanied by Dr. Waive, a friend of his late father, Doris, Dr. Waive's daughter, and Captain, a friend of Dr. Waive, they set sail for the island. Along the way, they face attacks from GAIL, an international conglomerate, and the gangster group Cougar Connection, led by Lady Lynx. Upon arriving at the island, they are suddenly attacked by a mysterious monster. Just as they brace for death, a blue giant robot appears, destroying the monster and saving them. This robot, reminiscent of something warm and familiar to Yuu, is known as Giant Gorg, the "Messenger of the God" by the island's inhabitants. Escaping from GAIL's assault team, Gorg guides Yuu into the underworld, where he discovers an alien relic and an alien who has awakened after a 30,000-year slumber.
