Sinopse
Em 2019, pouco antes do amanhecer de uma nova era, um rasgo para outra dimensão aparece no céu, revelando um mundo paralelo "Shinkoku Nippon," com o céu e a terra de cabeça para baixo. Este mundo paralelo mantém seu militarismo anterior, com sua era sendo Eterna Showa. O exército invade o Japão real com robôs gigantes chamados "Garann" e suas armas de gás "Genmu," tornando as armas modernas ineficazes. "Shinkoku Nippon" rapidamente assume o governo e alcança a conquista de facto do Japão, marcando a chegada da nova era, "Reiwa."
