Sinopse
O Kaleido Stage é renomado mundialmente por suas acrobacias cativantes, rotinas inovadoras e figurinos e cenários extravagantes. É um lugar para que os convidados acreditem em magia, e Sora Naegino não deseja nada mais do que fazer parte dessa magia — tornando-se uma acrobata do famoso circo. Para realizar seu sonho, ela viaja do Japão para a Califórnia para se apresentar a um teste para um lugar no grupo. No entanto, Sora descobre que precisa de muito mais do que seu talento natural para trazer alegria aos rostos da plateia. Ela rapidamente descobre o quão difícil é ser uma artista profissional onde as apostas — e os números — são mais altas e os erros significam perigo! Para apresentar performances dignas do Kaleido Stage, ela precisará suportar treinamento rigoroso, atribuições não convencionais, competição feroz e as traquinagens de um espírito travesso chamado Fool. Sora poderá alcançar novas alturas, fazer novos amigos, superar seus medos e superar seus limites para se tornar uma Estrela Kaleido?
Background
Kaleido Star estreou na quinta-feira, 3 de abril de 2003, às 17:25, na TV Tokyo. A partir do episódio 27, o programa mudou para um horário matinal de sábados às 9:30, e adicionou o subtítulo "New Wings" ao título. "Agradecimentos Especiais a Dio" nos créditos finais refere-se a Dio Kobayashi, um artista de circo japonês que viajou por todo o mundo. Ele foi convidado para o projeto pelo diretor Satou Junichi e se tornou um consultor especial para o show. O personagem Dio é baseado nele.
