Sinopse
Este é um mundo onde homens e monstros coexistem. Aqueles que caçam os monstros são chamados de Caçadores. Mas em um pequeno canto do mundo dos Caçadores, existem aqueles chamados de Cavaleiros que se ligam e vivem ao lado dos monstros. Com suas Pedras de Ligação (Kizuna Ishi) que permitem despertar o poder oculto dentro dos monstros, os Cavaleiros vivem em segredo junto com seus Otomon, os monstros com os quais formaram uma conexão. Ryuto, um jovem menino que vive na aldeia dos Cavaleiros de Hakum, sonha em se tornar o melhor Cavaleiro do mundo. Tendo acabado de completar 12 anos, ele parte para encontrar seu próprio Otomon antes da cerimônia em que recebe sua própria Pedra de Ligação. Juntamente com sua amiga de infância de bom coração, Cheval, sua amiga de infância curiosa, Lilia, e seu parceiro Naville, ele se aventura profundamente na floresta e tem um encontro milagroso com um Rathalos.
