Sinopse

Satoshi e Pikachu chegam à cidade de Lumiose, na renomada região de Kalos, para capturar mais Pokémon e continuar sua jornada para se tornarem os melhores. Enquanto isso, um inventor brilhante chamado Citron e sua irmã mais nova Eureka vagam pela cidade quando encontram Satoshi, que rapidamente o desafia para uma batalha. No entanto, eles logo se encontram em perigo quando a Team Rocket, que seguiu Satoshi para Kalos, causa um Gaburias a devastar a cidade. Na tranquila Vaniville Town, uma jovem chamada Serena pratica o equitação de Sihorn diariamente a pedido de sua mãe, uma profissional de equitação de Sihorn. Após o treino, ela vê os eventos que estão acontecendo na cidade de Miare na televisão, onde reconhece um menino de sua infância. Inspirada pela visão dele, ela parte para a cidade de Miare, determinada a encontrar o menino de seu passado. Pokemon XY segue o grupo enquanto eles viajam por Kalos em busca de seus sonhos—Satoshi desafiando ginásios de Pokémon, Citron aprendendo com Satoshi e Serena buscando seu sonho. No caminho, eles conhecem novos amigos, enfrentam novos rivais e continuam a frustrar os planos da Team Rocket, enquanto descobrem os mistérios da mega evolução.
