Synopsis

In 2039, humanity faces a dire situation as sea levels rise dramatically. Adding to their woes, the Fleet of Fog, a formidable force of vessels reminiscent of wartime ships, disrupts global communication and travel. Humanity's attempts to retaliate prove futile with their current arsenal. However, Gunzou Chihaya, captain of the Iona submarine I-401, stands as humanity's last hope against the Fleet of Fog. Tasked by the Japanese government, Gunzou and his crew, known as Blue Steel, embark on a critical mission to deliver the Vibration Torpedo Warhead to the United States for mass production, navigating treacherous waters. Despite their involvement in the conflict, Blue Steel seeks a peaceful resolution. As Iona undertakes this mission and others, the crew remains steadfast in their values, even in challenging circumstances.
