Synopsis
When Takumi Miyasaka arrives at Astro Lodge to interview for the head chef position, he finds a run-down boarding house instead of a fancy restaurant. Despite his disappointment, Takumi demonstrates his culinary skills, delighting the eccentric tenants. Among them, the charming landlady Mira Gotokuji falls in love with his cooking, while Takumi falls for her. He accepts the job as the breakfast chef and moves into Room 5. Takumi soon notices strange things about Mira; she is clueless about modern technology and Japanese food. Additionally, he hears an unfamiliar voice coming from Mira's room. Unbeknownst to Takumi, Mira is an alien who has recently arrived from another planet on an important secret mission.
