Sinopsis

The powerful Toue Inc. acquired the Japanese island of Midorijima long ago, intending to construct Platinum Jail, a luxurious utopian facility. The wealthiest individuals in the world are fortunate enough to call it home, while the island's original inhabitants were relocated to the Old Residential District and subsequently abandoned after Platinum Jail's completion. Rib and Rhyme are the two most popular games on the island. Rib is a classic game in which gangs compete for territory, while Rhyme is a high-tech game in which participants battle in a virtual reality. To play Rhyme, you must have an All-Mate, an AI that usually resembles a pet, and the match must be supervised by an Usui. Aoba Seragaki has no interest in either game; he prefers to live a peaceful life with his grandmother and All-Mate, Ren. However, after being forced into a dangerous Rhyme match and hearing rumors about Rib players vanishing, Aoba's hopes of living a normal life are completely shattered.
