Synopsis

The second installment in the Virtual Trilogy, blending anime and live-action footage. Virtual Station is a lab dedicated to gathering and researching DNA. By combining old DNA elements, the ancient world was virtually reconstructed. Yui is a Gene Diver who enters this virtual ancient world to collect DNA from animals extinct in reality. However, an incident occurs. During a maintenance cycle, Yui attempts to leave the virtual world but is instead transferred to a new virtual present. In this world, created by the now uncontrollable system, an intelligent species evolved from rodents, known as puglaistig, exists. They view humanity as a serious threat and strive to halt human evolution by any means necessary.
