Sinopsis

Nen is a hidden source of energy and potential that flows through everyone, with the power to bring forth both limitless light and darkness. The Hunter Association regulates access to this energy. Hunters, who come in various forms and with different motivations, master Nen to pursue wealth, power, and their dreams. The strongest Hunter, Isaac Netero, chairman of the Hunter Association, once sealed away Jed, a Hunter who had mastered On, the dark "shadow" of Nen. Now, On users have resurfaced at the Heaven's Arena "Battle Olympia" tournament. Netero's final mission is to protect the Association and the world from a threat driven by hatred and revenge. To succeed, he will need all the help he can get.

The Last Mission is an original story not adapted from the Hunter x Hunter manga. It debuted at #4 on the Japanese box office chart on December 28, 2013, and ultimately grossed $7.38 million. The Last Mission was screened in the United States on July 26, 2014, at the Japan Film Festival of San Francisco.
