Hwasan Golae

In 2070, humanity faces a life-threatening crisis due to massive earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. Korea is in chaos, and Busan is overrun with refugees. Ha-jin, a young street dealer, can communicate with whales, a secret she keeps hidden. One day, a one-armed woman named Baek Sang-won asks Ha-jin to join her on a gules whale hunt. Initially, Ha-jin declines due to painful memories, but she eventually joins Baek. As she makes friends on the ship, she learns about the gules whale and the sad stories of each crew member. The crew's madness in trying to kill the gules brings Ha-jin's trauma to the surface, leading her to experience her own madness.
