Synopsis
On a snowy Christmas Eve, Tyltyl and Mytyl sit in their home, unable to sleep due to their mother's illness. Through the window crashes Berylune, a strange and mercurial magical spirit, who reveals that their world is not the only one. Accompanied by various spirits and their now-humanoid pets, Tyltyl and Mytyl embark on a journey to find the blue bird of happiness and save their mother. Along the way, they visit strange and wondrous places and ultimately face the spirit of darkness to achieve their goal.
