Sinopsis

The renowned blue sapphire, the "blue lapis fist," is believed to have sunk with a pirate ship off the coast of Singapore in the late 19th century. A wealthy local man plans to retrieve it, and when it is displayed at an exhibition in the Singaporean Marina Sands hotel, a murder occurs. A bloody calling card from Kaitou Kid is found at the crime scene. Meanwhile, Ran and Sonoko have traveled to Singapore to attend a karate tournament. Conan, who lacks a passport and cannot leave the country, was supposed to stay home. However, Kid, who wants to use him, employs a magical trick to forcefully bring him to Singapore. Conan must comply with Kid if he wants to return to Japan, and in the process, his glasses, wristwatch, and clothes are stolen, forcing him to disguise himself. Ran, unaware of his true identity, asks him his name, and he improvises the name Arthur Hirai. Kid eventually discovers that the "fist" is stored in an underground vault of a mansion. Just as he thinks he has easily gained access, he encounters a dangerous trap. Facing him is Makoto Kyogoku, the strongest karateka with 400 consecutive victories.

As of July 7, 2019, the film has earned ¥9.1 billion ($82,409,621) domestically, making it one of the top 50 highest-grossing films in Japan. The Fist of Blue Sapphire surpassed Zero the Enforcer to become the highest-grossing Detective Conan film.
