Sinopsis

When a gate to another dimension suddenly opens on Earth, Mikado City is invaded by strange creatures known as "Neighbors," beings immune to conventional weaponry. In response, the Border Defense Agency was established to combat the Neighbor threat using special weapons called "Triggers." Despite the passage of several years since the gate's appearance, Neighbors remain a danger, and Border members stay vigilant to ensure the planet's safety. Despite this delicate situation, trainees like Osamu Mikumo are not allowed to use their Triggers outside of headquarters. However, when a mysterious new student in his class is dragged into a forbidden area by bullies, they are attacked by Neighbors, forcing Osamu to intervene. To his surprise, the transfer student Yuuma Kuga effortlessly defeats the aliens, revealing that he is a humanoid Neighbor in disguise.
