Synopsis
San Mao, a poor orphan, wanders through 1930s Shanghai, where people dream of wealth. Along with his bald friend Xiao Laizi, San Mao unexpectedly receives grain from the entrepreneur Wu Zifu. Later, San Mao falls into a mysterious coma, and reporter Hou Yiwen investigates the connection between Wu Zifu and San Mao.
