Synopsis
Bubbles, a young carp, lives with his grandmother in Carp Lake, who often tells him about the legendary Dragon, ruler of the seas and rivers. One day, Bubbles meets Evil Snake, who claims to be the Dragon King. Accompanied by his henchmen, Lobby and Bogart, Evil Snake visits the lake, where Bubbles' grandmother suspects his true identity. When her suspicions are confirmed, Evil Snake transforms her into a bubble in a fierce battle. Determined to avenge his grandmother, Bubbles embarks on a journey to find the real Dragon and the five dragon scales needed to defeat Evil Snake. Along the way, he encounters new friends, including Aku, Mei Mei, and Erl, while Evil Snake and his henchmen relentlessly pursue him.
Background
Based on a Chinese folktale called "The Carp Jumps Over the Dragon Gate." The Adventures of Little Carp was released on VCD and DVD in 2006. It was also adapted as comic book, and as an educational book.
