Sinopsis
Akane Ousaki has always been captivated by her father Tooru's rakugo performances, a traditional Japanese comedic storytelling art. Rakugo performers are ranked, with the highest being shinuchi, granted only after passing a rigorous test. When Tooru fails the exam due to a strict judge, he quits, leaving Akane to practice rakugo herself. Now a high school senior, she gets a chance to perform with the help of Shiguma Arakawa, Tooru's former teacher. Her performance impresses everyone, and Shiguma takes her as his apprentice, setting her on a path to become a shinuchi in her father's place.
