Sinopsis
Marin, a cheerful junior high school girl, leads a normal life until a mysterious mirage appears in the sky above the entire Earth. Killer androids called Monomakia descend from the formation in the sky known as Brigadoon and begin hunting Marin. She discovers a blue bottle in a shrine that releases Melan Blue, a sword-carrying, gun-slinging alien who becomes her protector. Together, they must save the Earth while dealing with family crises, school prejudice, the police, and learning to trust each other. The story is set in 1969 Japan with a colorful cast of friends and enemies.
