Eto Sanbun no Ichi

This work was created for the 20th Anniversary Edition of the Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival, supported by the 2016 Champion and Patron Members of Reel Asian. The Chinese Zodiac follows a 60-year cycle with 10 heavenly elements and 12 earthly animals, making the 20th anniversary one-third of a cycle. The movie features 20 elements transitioning from 1997, when the festival began, to 2016. The music is performed on the Dan Bau, a Vietnamese electronic stringed instrument.
