Sinopsis

In November 1998, a double homicide occurs at the newly built Ogawa apartment complex in Mifune City. The killer, Tomoe Enjou, flees in panic but is not pursued by the police, and the incident is not reported in the media. After Shiki Ryougi defends Tomoe from a group of thugs, she lets him stay at her place. However, a few days later, Tomoe is shocked to discover that his mother is alive, despite his belief that he killed her. Meanwhile, Mikiya Kokutou investigates a tip from his associate Touko Aozaki about the murder at the unique apartment complex. As he uncovers more information, Mikiya becomes interested in Tomoe and discovers the disturbing truth about the Ogawa complex. The fifth installment of the Kara no Kyoukai film series, Mujun Rasen, combines a complex mystery with established themes and characters to create a dark, thought-provoking story.
