Sinopsis

After the closure of Uranohoshi Girls' High School, the third-year students—Dia Kurosawa, Kanan Matsuura, and Mari Ohara—have graduated, leaving Aqours with only the first and second-years. While searching for a new practice space, they visit their new school, only to find it seemingly abandoned. It turns out the school board, concerned about the Uranohoshi students burdening the clubs, sent them to a branch school instead. This prompts Aqours to aim to prove that Uranohoshi students are serious about their clubs. Meanwhile, the third-years have mysteriously vanished during their graduation trip. Love Live! Sunshine!! The School Idol Movie: Over the Rainbow follows the remaining Aqours members as they search for their missing seniors and strive to change the new school's mind.
